Barbarellas and other stuff

Ok, it's been a while since i blogged, but I felt i needed to say this....BARBARELLAS ARE MY CURRENT FAVOURITE ARTISTS! The duo consist of Edele and Keavy Lynch, formally of B*Witched. They've left the bubblegum pop sound behind, and have started making brilliant, edgy pop. Debut single Body Rock is amazing, and got a great review on Popjustice. Head over to the website and support them, because they are fantastic!

Another fantastic thing is the new Human League single. It's called 'Never Let Me Go', and it's taken from the groups new album 'Credo'. It's a fantastic piece of pop, and I think a lot of people would like it, if only it got the right promotion!!

I also eagerly await the release of Britney's new album. From what i've read it's gonna be A-MAZ-ING!!

Album of the Day - 26/02/2011

Bette Midler - Mud Will Be Flung Tonight!

Released is 1985, this is Bette Midler's stand up comedy album (yes stand up comedy). Everybody who loves Bette knows she's funny, but this is just hilarious. She drops the 'F' bomb quite a lot, but who gives a fuck, when there are lines like this 'Let me hear your body talk....my body says FUCK YOU!' when she's talking about working out.

This is a very funny album you need to listen to it.

Words can't express the love I have for this woman. <3

Ciara and Rihanna & Diana Ross and Oprah....

So, first off, Ciara decided to talk smack about Rihanna. She said that Rihanna wasn't a very nice person etc. Oh, hello green eyed monster! Are you jealous of the wonderfulness that is Rihanna, I think so. Ciara needs to step off methinks, because she has pissed off a lot of people. Daft bint.

On a lighter note, the legendary, the magnificent Diana Ross was on Oprah the other day, talking about everything, and even bringing her family on. I love Ms. Ross a lot, I wish she would come to the UK soon and tour (though I doubt I could afford a ticket...)

Oh and Lulu just killed it on Let's Dance for Comic Relief. Youtube it, it's amazing! I. Love. Her.

Album of the Day 23/2/11

Debbie Harry - Rockbird

This album was released in 1986, and spawned the big hit 'French Kissin' In the USA'. The album is brilliant 80's pop. There isn't one track I don't love.

And to top it off, Debbie looks FIERCE on the cover, wouldn't you agree?

Glee stuff

OMG. I can't believe Kathy Griffin is going to be on Glee. I fucking love her so so so much!! <3 <3

And they are having some original songs aswell written by Max Martin, obviously they are gonna be AMAZING!!

Woooo!

Album of the Day 22/2/2011

Kylie Minogue - Aphrodite

This album is pure pop perfection. From beginning to end. One of the best albums of Kylie magnificent career. I absolutely adore it.

Gaga, Britney, J Lo and more...

Ok so, let me start this by saying that 2011 has been a sweet year so far for music.

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' is just amazing. Yes it bears a resemblance to Madonna's 'Express Yourself' and no, I couldn't give a shit.

Britney's 'Hold it Against Me' is brilliant. The beat is brill. She's back on top form.

J Lo has just released 'On The Floor' officially, and it's great, proper good summer sounding song (shame it's February and pissing down. blah.)

I'm very excited for the release of Jessie J's new album, I think it's gonna be shweeeet.

I'm the most excited though for the release of the new Marianne Faithfull album. I love this woman like you wouldn't believe, and I can't wait to hear the whole album. The promo song is 'Why Did We Have to Part'

Blondie, as you may or may not know, are my favourite band EVER. I LOVE THEM. Their new album 'Panic of Girls' keeps being put back, and it's killing me :'( They played a lot of new stuff when I went to see them last year, and it was amazing. Go on youtube and search for 'What I Heard'

I'm still in love with the 'S & M' video by Rihanna.

The Human League's new album is out at the end of March, and form what they played in December when I saw them, it's a real return to form. 'Night People' is the first song that was released

Mylene Farmer, one of the most successful French recording artists ever, has got a new album out 'Bleu Noir' and it's getting a UK release. Heeee :D 'Oui....Mais Non' is the lead single, and was produced by RedOne.

Off music a bit, I'm going to see Sarah Millican next week, and I can't wait. She's one funny lady. And then, on 1st April, I will see KYLIE!! AAAAAHHHHHH! It's gonna be amazing (i've gone back onto music again, oh well lol!)

I'm thinking of doing like an album of the day post. I know it won't change the world of music and i'm pretty sure people won't give a shit about my opinion (they never do usually LOL! :P) but I think I'm going to do it anyway.

Laters bitches x
